The UAE is looking to attract more citizens to experiment with Web3 projects as Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Dubai are emerging as crypto hubs. Women in Abu Dhabi will now receive the option to choose a free crypto domain name, allowing them to experiment with the Web3 space. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has partnered with Access Abu Dhabi and has hired a domain name provider called Unstoppable Domains to facilitate the implementation of this initiative.
“By supporting initiatives that invite and empower women, we can protect diversity early on in the Web3 era,” a report by Waya Media quoted Abdulla Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, acting director general of ADIO.
The announcement of this initiative came recently when a delegation of ‘Women of the Web3‘visited Abu Dhabi. Formed with female tech entrepreneurs from the United States, the group is organized by Access Abu Dhabi, a Maven Global Access program powered by ADIO.

In recent months, Dubai’s Virtual Asset Administration (VARA) revealed plans to create a virtual headquarters in The Sandbox supermarket.
Overall, the crypto culture seems to be expanding in parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In March, UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum signed a new rule for virtual assets while establishing an independent body to oversee the regulation of the crypto space.
Last month, UAE’s Emirates Airlines announced its accession to reverse and NFT fields.
Dubai-based real estate developer Attribute Damac also opened payments in the form of cryptocurrencies.
Cryptocurrency companies like Binance, Bybit and Crypto.Com has also started to set up shop in Dubai.
Authorities in the UAE also set the rules to protect investors, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing provisions, ensure compliance and enable cross-border transactions.
