Set up your Apple Watch
If you buy a new Apple Watch, you need iPhone can run iOS 15 and above. You can check the version you are using by tapping Setting > Shared > Software updates. The watch will ask if you want to sign in with Apple ID and would you like to create one? PIN. You can skip either of these steps for now, but you may need your Apple ID for certain apps, and you’ll definitely need a PIN to use Apple Pay. If you choose to skip these steps, you can always go to the Watch app to do so later. You can also choose your apps later. Wait for your Watch to sync and then you’re ready to go.
How to use Apple Watch
Your watch is on. Congratulations! Is there a red dot at the top of your watch? Someone texted you. Swipe down to check your notifications. Customize your watch faces, complications and bands
Once you’ve figured out how to use your Apple Watch, the first thing you might want to do is customize your watch face. The easiest way to do this is to touch and hold the default watch face, then swipe left to add a new face to your watch.
Unlike Android Smart Watch, Apple does not allow you to create third-party watch faces. However, there are plenty to choose from, and you can now also add third-party complications. Faces like Rim maximize a larger screen size by increasing the number of clocks aaaaall the way to the bezel. However, my favorite way to take advantage of the big screen on the Series 7 is Portrait face to face.
You can edit your watch face right from your watch, but it’s easier to select and edit a watch face in the Watch app on your iPhone. Click Face Library at the bottom. Option Portrait, then select your photo. The photo will crop and focus on the people in it. Your complications, like the date and time, will cleverly integrate themselves into the portrait, looking out from behind the subject’s head or around their face. You can choose the complications you want, like the date or time, or even choose a solid color filter. Once you’ve arranged it to your liking, click Set as current Watch Face.
