How to pay for parking MBSJ at Subang Jaya’s two-hour parking lot (orange) with your phone
You may have seen them around if you’ve been traveling around Subang Jaya, but it’s official now – MBSJ’s new two-hour parking lot takes effect from September 1, 2022.
The new two-hour parking lot is marked with an orange border and has the words “2 traffic jams” in the center of the parking lot. In addition to the time limit, parking is also more expensive, costing 50 sen for half an hour instead of 50 sen for an hour. If you park in one of these parking lots but still pay the regular parking fee, you are considered unpaid and will be subject to a penalty. This is a reasonable way to pay for new lots in two hours to avoid penalties.
Download the Smart Selangor parking app
You must first download Smart Selangor Parking or the Flexi Parking app. Other parking apps like TnG don’t yet support new parking lots, though they might in the future.
Here are the links to the app:

Select the option “change box type”
After you’ve set up the app with your license plate and reloaded the credits, it’s time to pay for the parking. If you’re at MBSJ, you’ll notice a slightly different layout.
If your license plate is in the green box, you have now selected normal parking. You have to press “Change Cell Type” to select a two-hour parking slot.
Select the “2 hour parking” box type
When you press “Change box type”, you will see these two choices.
Choose the 2 hour parking option.
Choose the length of parking you want – up to 2 hours
You should see that the screen is different now – your license plate should now be orange instead of green. This means that the correct parking option has been selected.
Honestly, this display is a bit confusing because the parking rate on the left side hasn’t been updated to show the two hour parking rate.
Oddly enough the app still allows you to pay for 3 hours of parking for the parking you are supposed to occupy for only two hours, but I would recommend skipping the 3 hour option.
Finally, since the fee is RM 0.5 for half an hour and the aim is to give these parking lots quick turnaround times, you will probably only pay for half an hour of parking, but the minimum time offered here still seems to be at least 1 hour.
Confirm that you want to pay for parking
After you choose the time you want to pay, just press yes.
You’ll need to ignore the fact that the app continues to quote normal parking rates in this window, I guess they’ll fix all these minor issues in an app update soon.
Double check your receipts!
As the old rate is still displayed incorrectly on the app, go to the receipts section to reconfirm that you have indeed paid for the two hour parking. If you do it right, it will show RM1 per hour. That’s it, now you can go about your work and clean up the parking lot before time runs out upto 2 hours.
Failure to pay the parking fee properly will result in a combined fine of RM80 and possible towing your vehicle, but MBSJ Corporate and Strategic Management Deputy Manager Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said it would not Is there any towing action at this early stage.
In addition, there is a cooling period of one hour before motorists are allowed to park in any two-hour parking lot.
This includes all areas in the program, which means that if the vehicle owner has used the full limit at the two-hour parking area in SS15, one hour must pass before parking. in another two-hour limited zone, regardless of whether it’s in USJ10, SS12, or any other.
