‘Rocket League’ is celebrating its 7th anniversary with a new in-game event

This week in racing game news:

“Rocket League” is still going strong after 7 years

It seems hard to believe, but as of July 7, “Rocket League” has been 7 years. It also happens in the middle of Season 7, although this is just a welcome coincidence, as they did reset the seasons when the game was released for free in 2020. To celebrate the occasion, the game will introduce again. 2 fan-favorite limited time modes; Heatseeker (July 6 – 13) and Knockout (July 13 – 19). There will also be limited-time Birthday challenges to complete and honor the fancy White Titan and Fennec Decal items available for purchase in the item shop. Last but not least, players will be able to earn in-game Golden Eggs (basically just free loot boxes) to unlock items from the first 4 Champions Series. Planning to celebrate? Let us know in the comments section.

“WRC Generations” is set to include hybrid vehicles

Earlier this week, a new trailer was introduced for the upcoming “WRC Generations”, focusing on the inclusion of new hybrid Rally1 cars. Players will be able to use the cars to take advantage of power boost from the start line, regenerative braking, extra horsepower and more. The game will officially release this year on October 13 but until then check out the trailer below.

“Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown” dropped a new trailer

The latest game in the “Test Drive Unlimited” series is set to release next year, and the promotion has already begun. A new trailer was released this week that, to be honest, doesn’t tell us much about the game, but it’s pretty cool creatively. If you want to check it out, you can do so below.
