All of Mariah Carey Christmas wish is to spend it with family.
The singer recently revealed how she and her twins Maroc and Monroe—who you may have spotted sweetly attracting attention during her Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performance—let’s celebrate the holiday.
“I create my own Christmas moment,” says Carey W Magazine for its latest cover story. “I mean, Santa came to visit us. He came with his reindeer. I’m not exaggerating – this is the truth. By the way, before my children were born, I did. all the same. It’s the same with me and Santa and the reindeer.”
While Santa’s visit is always exciting, Morocco and Monroe do live with the Queen of Christmas (you know, you’ll rock “All I Want for Christmas Is You” all season long). So how do 11-year-olds feel about having such an iconic mother?
Carey continued: “Honey, look, I know a lot of times people say, ‘Oh, yay! Look at her! She’s, like, so festive and such a Christmas girl’, or whatever,” Carey continued. “But, really, Christmas makes me happy. People think I have a princess life or something, a kind of fairy tale existence that I just came out of, like, ‘Here I am!’ And that’s not what it is.”
