Jay & the Americans Lead Singer Was 82 – The Hollywood Reporter

Jay Black, lead singer of rock group Jay and the People, has died from problems because of pneumonia, his household introduced on Saturday. He was 82.

Born in Brooklyn and initially named David Blatt, Black modified his title upon becoming a member of Jay and the People, by which he changed Jay Traynor. The band’s albums embody Come a Little Bit Nearer and Sands of Time.
