Heartbroken for the family who abandoned him, the dog in a murder shelter cried as they passed him
When a dog is adopted, it is supposed to last for the rest of its life. Sometimes understandable circumstances happen and a dog must be rehabilitated. Dogs can be ethically transferred to family members and friends. As animal lovers, we hope that dog owners understand that abandoning a dog at a murder shelter is the same as sending it to death – but it always happens. Being abandoned by his family really broke his heart, for a dog devoted to his people.

This formerly happy dog was devastated. He sat in his crib, boredly staring at the wall and refusing to interact with anyone. This worries shelter workers because it won’t make eye contact with potential adopters, unlike other dogs that wag their tails when people walk past them. What if he never finds a home? The dog is bored waiting for his family to come back to pick him up. It’s clear what it means. While avoiding people as they passed by, he examined them from the corner of his crib to see if it was them. And when he finally realizes these people are strangers, he’ll go back to his sad spot and lie down.
