Great American Sightseeing Tour Benefit Parkinson’s Foundation
Steven Goode loves to ride. In 2018, he driving my BMW R 1200 GS Adventure to all 47 national parks in the contiguous US, covering 17,335 miles in 67 days. Goode also enjoys supporting charities. In 2021, he drove the Honda Gold Wing Tour around the country to visit the best Jewish food in most of the state, covering 15,000 miles in 75 days on what is called Great American Delicacies Schlepand he did it to support MAZONa Jewish non-profit organization fighting hunger in America. Starting May 9, Goode will join the Great Scenic Tour of America, where he’ll take the most scenic trail in all 48 contiguous states to raise awareness and cause fund for the Parkinson’s Foundation. Great American Sightseeing Tour
Steven Goode and the Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinsons.org) has creatively teamed up to raise funds against Parkinson’s disease (PD). Steven will drive his motorcycle 15,000 miles over 60 days from May 9, 2023. He will drive to the most scenic road in every contiguous (under 48) US state. Along the way, he’ll meet with representatives of the Parkinson’s Foundation to draw attention to this devastating disease and their efforts to find a cure. Steve’s mother passed away from the disease in 2001 and he feels this is a good way to pay tribute to her struggle.

The route will depart from the Chicago area and run across the country from north to south, then along the east coast, across Canada into the upper peninsula of Michigan. From there, he’ll head southwest, ending with a horseback ride through Death Valley National Park, Yosemite National Park, and then up the Oregon coast into the Seattle area. The route will take him to Path to the Sun in Glacier National Park and Beartooth Pass in Montana. He eventually returned to the Chicago area around early July.
