Nuka the German Shepherd may be the only dog in the house, but it is never alone. The friendly dog is always surrounded by his various friends, from mice and rabbits to lizards and ferrets.
The friendly pup lives with his owner, medical researcher Nicole Yates, 36, in their home in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, along with several other non-canine pets.
Speaking to Caters Clips, Yates said, “Nuka is the most gentle dog in the world and absolutely loves taking pictures of herself.”
Knowing that Nuka loved pictures and animals, Nicole started Instagram to share his photo with “furry, furry, and scaly friends”.
In the photos, you can see Nuka posing with her family of rabbits, mice, cats, guinea pigs, birds, mink and even a bearded dragon! Check out some pictures below:
The dog is so patient and loving towards his friends, he stays perfectly still while they climb onto his head and jump onto his body.
Recently, the family even had some mice that Nuka lovingly took care of. He lay gently beside the little mice as they huddled under his snout to keep warm. They shared a Instagram post of the sweet moment, say, “Guess who’s on babysitting duty!!”
The children have since moved in with their permanent families, but Nuka will probably remember their time together forever.
Not only in the house, but Nuka also made friends with all the animals. He has a natural gift for befriending other species everywhere he goes, like the time he befriended a frog on a walk:
Some dogs will try to eat or attack other animals, or may just be curious to sniff or play with them. Nuka just wants to be friends with everyone. It really is a one-of-a-kind dog!
