• Background: Kambosos will begin rebuilding against Hughes after consecutive losses to Devin Haney cost the Australian with his undisputed 135-pound weightlifting championship and the respect he has earned. when he beat Teofimo Lopez in New York City to become the champion in 2021. Haney boxed the Kambosos to win a one-way decision and titles last June in Melbourne. Boxer Sydney lost one the decision is even broader in a rematch four months later in the same town. Kambosos is still ranked by all four major sanctioning bodies, as high as the WBC’s 6th place. Hughes, a 33-year-old boxer from Rossington, England, is a capable but light-weight boxer.
