Gentari, Lotus Cars Malaysia sign Memorandum of Understanding to develop EV charging infrastructure, charging packages for owners


Clean energy solutions provider Gentari has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lotus Cars Malaysia (LCM) to explore collaboration on green mobility infrastructure deployment, taking place today in conjunction with the partnership. to sue Lotus Eletre’s Malaysian market launch All-electric SUV.

The MoU is for two years and Gentari will work with LCM to explore possibilities for electric vehicle charging infrastructure at LCM facilities and in public areas, along with EV charging packages for Lotus electric vehicle owners. At this signing, Gentari was represented by green mobility director Shah Yang Razalli, while LCM was represented by Tengku general manager Ezan Ley.

According to Gentari, other potential areas of cooperation targeted for exploration include the introduction of zero-emission fleet solutions in Malaysia, renewable energy deployment at LCM facilities, and digital platforms. with LCM, according to Gentari.

“Today, we are partnering with Lotus Cars Malaysia to make it easier for drivers of their performance cars while reducing their carbon footprint per kilometer traveled. This is part of our purpose in addressing the world’s most pressing sustainable energy needs, to change the way we live today, to secure a better future,” director Gentari’s green mobile said.

“This partnership will allow us to better support our Lotus EV customers, starting with the all-electric Eletre Hyper-SUV. Increasing connectivity with Gentari’s rapidly growing electric vehicle charging network will increase convenience for our customers so they can plan their trips efficiently and reduce anxiety in terms of distance traveled,” said Lotus Cars Malaysia’s GM.

Gentari most recently launched a 60 kW DC charger at Perdana hotel in Kota Bharu, Kelantan to become the first publicly accessible 24/7 DC charger in the state. It is also the first DC charger to launch in partnership with PNB, with the aim of installing 59 chargers across 18 PNB properties by the end of the year.
