Olympic lightweight silver medalist, Ben Whittaker turned professional and signed a long-term contract with Boxxer.
Promoter Ben Shalom will land the most sought-after signature, who will feature Whittaker on Sky Sports alongside Tokyo 2020 teammates Lauren Price, Karriss Artingstall, Frazer Clarke and Caroline Dubois.
The 24-year-old, who is a client of Anthony Joshua’s 258 Management, will be coached by Sugar Hill, credited with turning the career of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury around.
Speaking at today’s announcement, Whittaker said: “Well, they always say save the best for last and here I am, excited to turn this new chapter in my career! This is an exciting time for me to show off my skills! Now I’m looking forward to joining the camp where I can supplement and develop my game. I hope you will enjoy the journey as it will be a crazy journey! ”
New coach Hill said Whittaker has the same level of talent as legendary Roy Jones Jr.

Ben Shalom describes Whittaker as “the biggest future star in boxing” and Anthony Joshua says the 258’s new addition could take the boxing world to the top.
