With five new Multiplayer maps, four new game modes and a new Special Operations Raid, prepare for a massive content offering in Season 03 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II And Call of Duty: War Zone 2.0. Alejandro and Valeria return for match-fixing, Resurrection expands to Al Mazrah and Ranked Play for Warzone 2.0 sets up the battleground for the most competitive Moderators.

Modern Warfare II brings new gunfights, maps and modes
Gunfight
Prepare for multiplayer dub duels when Gunfight makes his debut in Modern Warfare II. Players start each round with the same Random Load, which changes after every other round. Eliminate the enemy team or capture the overtime flag to win the round. The first team to win six rounds will start the match.
Gunfight will support four maps at launch, including the new one alleybased somewhere in Al Mazrah, And black webit’s the new Gulag in Battle Royale.
New core map and battle
Pelayo’s Lighthouse (Main Map, Launch): A storm rages on this battlefield island as the Operator takes up his position in the Main Building, set up in one of the scattered maintenance buildings or brave the outdoors.
Black Gold (Main Map, Launch): Infiltrate Al Mazrah’s Rohan Oil in Black Gold, the first iteration of the night operation in Modern Warfare II. Use your night vision goggles and available light sources to track and eliminate the enemy team.
Rohan Oilfields (Battle Map, Launch): Expanding on Black Gold, the Rohan Oilfield Battle Map expands the arena around this Warzone 2.0 point of interest, adding vehicles for quick transport.
Sattiq Cave Complex (Battle Map, Launch): Explore a network of caves, battle through small buildings and set up by downed aircraft in an area that will bring back fond memories for longtime fans of the series.
The brand new fifth core map will also be out mid-season.
Crawled, fighting the Horde in GW Infected
Two mass-loved game modes are making their way to Season 03:
Filmed (Debut): Eliminating an enemy activates a timer. Eliminate again before it goes to 0 or – boom! – you are disqualified.
Infected GW (During the season): Experience Infected on a larger stage as you battle to survive against the mobs on the GW map. Coordinate with your teammates to set up a defense. When you get infected, take them down.
New multiplayer ranked play bonus
A new season brings new Multiplayer Ranked rewards. Earn rewards for winning Ranked matches, and get new Operator Outfits and cosmetics when you rank in Gold or above. Get extra rewards for reaching the Top 250 or finishing the season as the highest ranked player in the world.
Raid Episode 03 Coming to Special Campaign
Join the Las Almas Cartel on a new Special Operations mission and regroup with Task Force 141 as they take on Raid Episode 03 in the mid-season update.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 adds massive revival, loot
Massive Revival (Debut): Massive revival is coming for Al Mazrah; takes place on the entire map, this mode has a higher number of players to better suit the playing field.
Looting (During the season): Eliminate enemy Operators, collect Supply Boxes, complete contracts and in-game events, and search for Loose Cash. In Plunder, the problem is who is the richest, fastest. Respawns are enabled and Loadouts are available from the start so you can get instant cash on deployment.
New Gulags: Set to replace the current version, a new Gulag is coming to Al Mazrah. Modern Warfare II players participating in Gunfight will experience the map in Blacksite.
New features and items
Re-deployment of the Al Mazrah drone (Launch): The Redeploy drone currently flying over Ashika Island is en route to Al Mazrah. Use their power to launch to your next target.
UAV Tower (Launch): Scan the surrounding area for enemy positions with the new UAV Tower, first spotted in the DMZ and coming soon in Battle Royale. Note that activating the tower will alert the enemy team, so be ready.
Tempered plate carrier (In season): Tempered plate carriers require fewer Armor Plates to fill, so replacement is faster and more efficient.
Decontamination Station (In season): Gas closes fast? Put down Upgrade this field, providing a safe atmosphere in the gas that lasts a few seconds. This is an important strategy to survive the fall of the last circle.
Perk Pack Items (In Season): Players who prefer to loot in the environment instead of calling a Loadout Drop will now have a means of securing Privileges with the preset Privilege Pack found in the Supply Box and at the Purchase Station.
Deployable Purchase Station (In season): Even in the farthest reaches of the map, you can still purchase the necessary items by activating the Deployable Buying Station. This mobile version is limited in quantity.
Gulag Participating Kit (In Season): Disqualified again? You are not out of luck yet. Operators with the Gulag Entry Kit in hand can fight in the Gulag a second time for a chance to return to the battlefield.
High Capacity Carrier (In season): Bring more Armor Plates for those protracted battles.
Coming Soon — Ranked Battle Royale
Launching mid-season, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Ranked Game Mode takes Battle Royale to a new level of competition as the Trilogy climbs to the Top 250. Watch and learn from the best in the World. Series of Warzone is coming, featuring the first tournament in history -person Global Finals.
New DMZ Features: Barter System, Workbench, New Factions and Quests
Exchange system: Trade in unwanted items in your inventory using the new Exchange System feature available at the Purchase Station.
desk: For a small fee, add and remove attachments on Contraband weapons. Equip any unlocked attachment on that weapon’s pedestal. Found near Buy Stations.
Active mission operator location: Choose from three different Operators when deploying to the DMZ, each with their own Luggage, Backpack, Plate Carrier, Killstreaks, Self Revive, and Respirator. Decide if you want to deploy a Best-equipped Moderator or a rough hire.
New factions, quests and bosses: A new faction enters the fray, offering three levels of faction quests and more to come during the season. Prepare yourself for the new bosses being deployed around the exclusion zone and look for specifics on rumors circulating about something deep underground in Al Mazrah.
With other features coming soon, such as new Backpacks and Plate Carriers types, you know you’re in for some big battle in Season 03.
New moderators, including rivals Alejandro and Valeria
Having fought side by side in the Los Vaqueros unit of the Mexican Special Forces, Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza are now arch-rivals.
Alejandro: Born and raised in Las Almas, Alejandro spent more than a decade as a senior member of Los Fuerzeas Especiales, the counterterrorism unit of the Mexican Army’s Tier 1 Special Missions. His unit, Los Vaqueros, was the only unit in the country authorized to work with the International Special Operations Forces, including the one at the CIA led by station chief Kate Laswell.
valerian: A former Mexican Army commando who worked alongside Alejandro, Valeria defected to gang enforcement in 2014 and eventually came to power as the leader of the Las Almas Gang. Now she works under the name El Sin Nombre – The Nameless One.
Expect more Operators to join the ranks throughout the season.
new weapon
Season 03 brings a total of four new weapons. Once you earn these, you can use them on all modes. Two of them are earned for free in the Battle Pass:
- FJX Imperium sniper rifle: Engineered for ultimate destruction, this lethal, beam-firing sniper rifle intervenes in stressful situations with its high-damage .408 ammo.
- Cronen Squall Combat Rifle: A bullpup semi-automatic rifle mounted in the 6.8 Wrath and designed to fire from a distance and deal exceptional damage.
Earn two more mid-season launch weapons by purchasing the Shop Pack or completing the weapon unlock challenge.
New Seasonal Events and Camo Challenges
During the Season 03 Trophy Hunt event, Enemy Moderators will drop a trophy whenever they are eliminated in any mode. They can also be found in other ways, such as in the Supply Box. Exchange these trophies for event rewards like Weapon Blueprints, Vehicle Skins, and even Battle Pass Token Tier Skip.
Look for the mid-season Camo Challenge event, which gives players the chance to earn new camo seasonally.
PlayStation Battle Pack
Starting April 19, PlayStation Plus members will be able to download the Season 03 Battle Pack, which includes a new Operator Skin for Oni that includes an updated gold mask and high-tech shoulder pads.
The Season 03 Battle Pack also includes the “Long Distance” Assault Rifle and the “Show Stopper” SMG Weapon Blueprint, the “Prepare Battle” Sticker, the “Tusk to Horn” Emblem, the Weapon Charm ” Oni Ready” and “Crumble” Phone Card.
Improvements beyond combat
Black cells: Set to replace the current Battle Pass Bundle, the BlackCell offer includes everything in the Original Pack and more, including the BlackCell Operator with Animated Camo plus Weapon Blueprints, Vehicle Skins and Complete migration. Begin your Battle Pass journey in an alternate BlackCell Zone, which provides a single entry point for the rest of the Battle Pass Map allowing you to unlock higher value items faster. In addition to all this exciting content, BlackCell will also include a BlackCell Topper Bonus of 12 Operator Skins as well as a Season 03 Battle Pass plus 20 Battle Token Tier Skips– 25 if you’re a PlayStation player – access into the BlackCell Sector offers something for everyone.
Automatic path: If you want to unlock items in the Battle Pass in a linear fashion, the new path feature will provide an automatic path through the different Regions. Players can switch between Auto and Manual paths at will.
Season 03 of Modern Warfare II Releases April 12
