Friday The 13th Developers Are Making a Texas Chain Saw Massacre game

Gun Interactive, the creators of Friday the 13th and Layers Of Fear 2, are creating a new multiplayer horror game based on the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Following the naming conventions, it’s no surprise it’s called Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It will be based on the movie that came out in 1974, and the teaser trailer revealed at The Game Awards features an amusingly skin-nerving creepy shot.

Above game website, it’s called “an asymmetrical horror experience”. The developers say that they “not only recreated places and characters, we created entire times and places in Texas.”

We don’t know much other than the fact that it’s multiplayer yet, but it seems reasonable to expect it to be similar to Friday The 13th – you know, one player takes on the killer role while others Left running terrified teenager.

Gun Interactive is doing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Sumo Digital. There’s no release window yet, but check out that site if you’re interested in learning more. They have a blog post about sound design and how are they “authentic” recreate Texas.

We’re staying up late covering the upcoming PC game from tonight’s lavish marketing: our hit Game Award tag everything.
