Ford made a Bronco to fight forest fires

Ford created Fire version in cooperation with service vehicle specialists Darley. The truck is based on the Bronco Badlands version and is equipped with the Sasquatch all-terrain package. It will serve as a command unit intended for forest firefighters throughout the park and as such, it is equipped with all kinds of communication and monitoring equipment. The onboard kit includes a state-of-the-art government communications system, including satellite and antenna connections, as well as a drone that can provide Live video feedback to the truck.
Other specialized hardware includes grille guard, factory-installed Warn winch, nut-locking wheel set and roof rack fitted with light bars, search and emergency lights, and sirens.
Ford and Darley equip Bronco with one grille guard, factory-installed Warn winch, one set of beadlock wheels, and the roof rack is equipped with a light bar that also integrates emergency lights and sirens. It’s all finished in glossy red and white paint, with the red Bronco badging at the front really striking the grille. It looks good.
“It’s a four-door mountain vehicle built to carry firefighters so they can quickly coordinate where emergency units are needed,” said Dave Rivers, Ford brand manager. .
The truck is actually the first of two specialized vehicles being developed by Ford and Darley to donate to the National Park Service and fire agency, which Ford says will be revealed in due course. next.
The trucks are being donated as part of the company’s Ford Bronco Wild Fund. The Foundation works to protect public lands in the US and to date has donated more than $3.7 million to organizations such as State Parks of America, National Forest Foundation, Outward Bound, and Smokey’s Son.
