Floyd Mayweather spent most of his childhood and adulthood in the sport of boxing. But while the newly formed Hall of Famer hung up his gloves in 2017, he remains a prominent figure.

In many cases, boxers who eventually decide to retire, often find themselves returning to the pugilistic sport sooner rather than later. Although Mayweather has built his legacy and amassed an intellectual fortune through the sport of boxing, he has no plans to return to the ring.

“I don’t miss boxing at all,” Mayweather said in an interview with Fight Hub TV.

Even as Mayweather has stated that he has no desire to return to the ring full-time, he has entertained his undying fans with a number of exhibition contests. Just last year, the former five-division world champion accepted a cross-match between him and social media star turned boxer, Logan Paul.

Entering their eight-round showdown, Mayweather was considered a forbidden favorite. With Paul having little to no experience in the ring and losing his only professional competition to fellow social media star KSI, many around the boxing world have been expecting Mayweather to be able to stop Paul once and for all. ruthlessly, despite the great difference in height and stature.

Normally defensive, Mayweather flipped the script in their fight. The now 45-year-old man stepped forward, stalked Paul, and delivered some massive hits throughout the night.

Despite being shaken several times, Paul still finished their contest on his two feet. Soon, social media was gloating at the possibility of going all eight rounds with Mayweather. However, Mayweather has now revealed that their showdown is something he’s hard at work with and doesn’t take seriously.

However, if the two square off in a full-scale boxing match that is sanctioned, Mayweather believes Paul will be staring at the ceiling lights for a short while.

“I just had a blast, did an exhibit with a YouTuber, Logan Paul, we had a lot of fun. Give everyone a little entertainment. Everyone must know that there is a difference between a real war and an exhibition. All I do is practice from time to time. If it was a real fight, it would be a loss in the first round. ”
