Flay’s Pizza Bianca is back at Sands Point at Aqueduct

It’s been an eventful 12 months for Pizza Bianca .

Last November, the daughter of Fastnet Rock gave celebrity chef and owner/raider Bobby Flay his biggest thrill in the race by joining Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T).

Since that trip abroad, it’s been a quiet period for her, which will finally end on October 15 when she returns from a four-month absence and faces eight opponents (no including a lead vocalist only) in Sands Point $200,000. Deposit (G2T) for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct race track.

In his career, Pizza Bianca has raced six times with three wins and earned $717,635, and will race 1 1/16 miles away on 1/8 mile bets on Saturday.

Coach Chad Brown will be chasing his fourth straight Sands Point win and fifth in six years with Dubb, The Elkstone Group, Louis Lazzinnaro and Michael Caruso’s Famous Victor . The Mr. Z filly is the struggling fifth in Lake Placid Stakes (G2T) after losing to the nose in Lake George Stakes (G3T).
