Fisker introduces the $29,900 Pear EV; Sea delivery starts soon

Fisker Inc. last week revealed another glimpse of its compact Pear EV due to its starting price of $29,900, as well as some more information about the upcoming urban-focused electric vehicle.

It introduced Pear — short, it says, for “Personal Electric Car Revolution” — last year with a few obscured images and sketches, which make it clear that the EV is smaller. will follow a completely different design direction than the Ocean.

Fisker added more details, saying the car sits higher off the ground with an elevated seating position. According to Fisker, it also has pronounced fenders that “give the car a spacious, powerful stance”. A continuous light strip frames the rear window and the front lights emphasize the dual light bars that seem to carry a continuous family identity with the larger Ocean.

The flagship version of the Pear will achieve a 300-mile range, Fisker claims, and it will feature “a truly revolutionary E/E architecture with just a few central computing units we call Machines.” blasphemy.”

Fisker also reports that development of the Pear is “going well,” with a drivable prototype set to go into production in December 2022. Fisker pear production will be shown in the second half of 2023 and premiere in 2024, with production managed by Foxconn at the old GM plant in Lordstown, Ohio – where Foxconn can also build Indi One EV.

The financial update does not include any adjustments to Pear’s timeline. It is said that the model reveal will take place in the second half of 2023.

Fisker previously revealed that the Pear will offer single-engine rear-wheel drive or two-motor four-wheel drive, with two different battery packs. The built-in solar-powered panoramic roof—shown in one of the new photos—will add driving range.

Fisker says that there are now more than 5,600 pre-orders for the Pear—all before it’s shown off in any form or comprehensive specs.

Fisker Ocean will deliver soon

The bigger one Fisker Ocean, starting with a $68,999 version of the Ocean One, was first made in November by Magna-Steyr in Graz, Austria, and Fisker has provided an update on that.
