Farhan Akhtar to appear in Ms Marvel series, premieres June 8 on Disney + Hotstar
Actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar will appear in Ms. Marvel, Marvel Studios’ first Muslim superhero series. The Disney+ show will be the first Hollywood project from Akhtar, who is known for starring in hits like Rock On!, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Dil Dhadakne Do. Akhtar has also directed critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya, Don and Don 2.
According to Deadline, that first report actor, the details of his character in Ms. Marvel was kept secret, although it was believed to be a guest appearance. The 48-year-old actor also shared the news that he would be joining the cast of Ms Marvel in a Twitter post.

Ms. Marvel will launch on June 8 on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service, where it will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. It is part of the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), led by newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Kamala Khan. Ms. Marvelan American Muslim teenager growing up in Jersey City.

Bisha K Ali, a storyteller and comic book writer known for her personal-political comedy, serves as the project’s lead screenwriter.
The cast also includes Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.
