EVx 2023: CAF CE1 – EV dashboard truck with 300 km . range
Electric passenger cars could be the headlines paultan.org The Electric Vehicle Show (EVx) 2023, currently taking place at the Setia City Convention Center (SCCC) until tomorrow (July 22-23), but without forgetting the commercial aspect of electrification.
One such car was on display at the Avis booth. It was a van with a dashboard called the CE1 by the Malaysian company CAF (short for Create Another Future). The all-electric supply is, as its design suggests, a commercial vehicle, with outputs ranging from 30 kW to 80 kW (depending on version), with the engine driving the rear wheels.
The 41.86 kWh lithium-ion phospate (LFP) battery sourced from CATL provides the van with a range of up to 300 km (based on the NEDC cycle), which the company says is one of the longest in the commercial electric vehicle market. The maximum speed is 100 km/h.
The kit on the two-seat version includes LED daytime running lights, a 9-inch central infotainment screen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, nothing more) and a reverse sensor and rear camera. In terms of safety, the E-Cargo CE1 is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD as well as ESC.
If you’re curious about the CAF EV dashboard van, you can find out more by visiting EVx, which runs until tomorrow. The event runs from 9am to 7pm and admission is free.
