Elden Ring group password can give you easy Rune buff
It’s free real estate!
It feels really good to have one Spontaneous health recharge in Elden Ring once one of your messages is authenticated, but did you know that you can also monetize group passwords? It’s an easily overlooked feature for more solo-minded players, so here’s a quick PSA, inspired by VaatiVidya’s recent breakdown of essential game discovery.
As Vaati explains, you can temporarily earn a rune buff of five percent when someone in your group gives a shardbearer Boss. The best part is that it’s all asynchronous – you don’t need to do anything but enter the group password – and you can have up to five groups join at once. It’s a fun feature to play with (or at least alongside) your close friends, but it also adds up if you hitchhiking with a popular community.
Once enabled, open the menu and select Multiplayeryou can press Triangle on PS4/PS5 to change your password Setting – from here you can enter a Multiplayer password or one Group password. Then your ticket to score more Runes.
There are five slots to fill in, although you can do a few as you like.
Popular group passwords
Currently, I am using year Elden Ring group password:
Before I could finish filling in all five entries, my Rune buff was activated. This is the status icon (it looks like Chicken feet soaked in gold with an up arrow):
You will also notice that your character has a yellow glow while the effect is active.
It should be noted that while group passwords only need to be entered once (and you can change or delete them at any time without any penalty or restriction), they will not automatically switch from signing one character to the next; if you have multiple replacement characters, you will need to re-enter the password for each of the characters that are blurred.
This is probably something that I should consider prior to finish Elden Ring, but I guess that’s what the next plays are for! I dominated the TV in the living room with this game, so I should cool it down for the moment. (Keyword is “should”)
