Here it is, chums, Cyber Monday. Ahh, how the mighty have fallen. What was once a fun online addition to the feeding frenzy of Black Friday, has now become a withering and useless spin-off. We’re all shopping online now, and Black Friday lasts at least three months of the year. Well, either that or I’m in some sort of article posting, Groundhog Day-esque slur. Whatever the case may be, Cyber Monday is an odd relic of the ’90s, like many things with a cyber prefix. Cybergoth, for example, a subculture of major relevance in the modern era is being hijacked by the makers of gaming peripherals in their entirety. You can’t move for the black and neon doohickeys with LEDs dripping from every drain hole. While I’ll be the first to argue that anything is better than last year’s beige everything, sometimes you need to be a little more mature and outfit your PC with trusty, pure black. practical and not meaningless. Cloud Alpha S is an improved version of the plain old Cloud Alpha Katharine checked it out in the distant past of 2018. You get much of the same, but with built-in base sliders, inline controls, and virtual 7.1 surround sound. I guess the S is for surround sound, not a mixed sound. Lady Katharine notes that Cloud Alpha’s in-game performance is particularly good, and perhaps the new additions make the sound even better. Acclaim!
