Ever since we announced that PowerWash Simulator would be coming to PlayStation (through our good friends Kenny Washmore and Jerry Cleansburg), we’ve been getting the same buzz from the community. So, as you can imagine, we’re excited to put the power of relaxation into the hands of players when PowerWash Simulator arrives on PS5 and PS4 on January 31, 2023.
Along with this launch, we’re also releasing the first free Special Pack where you can explore and clean up iconic locations and vehicles from the comprehensive Tomb Raider series!
Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from both the PowerWash Simulator and the Tomb Raider expansion pack…
Things aren’t as they seem in the town of Muckingham: a smoldering volcano nearby, the mayor’s cat missing, and everything extremely dirty. You will be tasked with cleaning up a variety of filthy destinations, from shabby houses to ancient structures. With so many different locations, you can find your mind wandering while cleaning… “What brings this town?!”
But for all its weirdness, Muckingham has improved quite a bit… thank you! The residents have also noticed. As you blow away all the dirt covering Muckingham, you’ll uncover the secrets hidden in the dirt and objects of each level, as well as receive messages from customers revealing untold stories about the where you visit. You know what they say, it all comes out in the laundry!
Once you get started, rumors of your powerful laundry abilities will quickly spread and the business will explode in no time. Earn money by getting the job done and reinvest in stronger washers, convenient nozzles, and cool outfits to help you clean more efficiently (and in style). No stain is too difficult for you to handle!
The whole purpose of PowerWash Simulator is for players to wash away their worries and escape from the real world; Get all the satisfaction of a clean wash to a shine without having to sweat or even get off the sofa!
Tomb Raider Special Pack
After you’re done cleaning up Muckingham, you may want to lift your feet, BUT WAIT… you’re not done yet! We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Crystal Dynamics to bring players five new levels from the longstanding Tomb Raider series.
For the Tomb Raider Special Pack, we focused on the illustrious Croft Manor, including its grounds and some of Lara’s trusty vehicles that got dirty on the road (and off the road!).
“Creating the Tomb Raider Special Pack was an honor and an amazing experience,” Dan Checker, our Lead Designer at FuturLab. “We can’t wait for players to get up close and personal with Croft Manor and uncover its many secrets!”
In the Special Pack, we’ve left the plots of danger to Lara while challenging our players to the deadliest prison break… clean up her stately home! Only the best reach Croft’s mansion; so relax and blow away any dirt you might be following, while Lara tells you stories of past adventures.
“What Tomb Raider fan hasn’t explored Croft Manor and thought ‘Winston might really need some help with these lands! I would love to clean this place up!’?” asked Dallas Dickinson, General Manager of Franchise for Tomb Raider at Crystal Dynamics. “Now, with the help of Square Enix Collective and FuturLab, it is not only possible, but extremely satisfying.”
“We know the community wants more cleanup, and I’m glad we can kick off our post-release plans in this Tomb Raider partnership style.” Phil Elliott, studio head at Square Enix Collective added. “We’ve had a lot of great support from players, the press, and content creators, and we wanted to do something special to say thank you!”
