Edgar Berlanga vows to punish Steve Rolls. The highly regarded super-middleweight prospect kicked off a fiery career, scoring 16 consecutive first-round wins. However, as late as this, Berlanga was forced to enlist the help of three judges who were watching his exchange of words. In contrast to Rolls, that trend continues.

A packed crowd at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater booed in frustration as Berlanga came to a decisive victory. Admittedly, Berlanga revealed that his latest performance was not his best. Come June 11, the disastrous knockout artist will try to return to violent winning ways.

Berlanga, 24, will return to the scene of her most recent crime. At night, Berlanga will try to show Roamer Alexis Angulo the door.

At the age of 38, Angulo has become unfortunately down when he is pushed into the ring against elite opponents. The Colombian-born was completely defeated by Gilberto Ramirez in 2018. While he attempted three straight wins soon after, he was savagely stopped against David Benavidez in 2020.

Since suffering only the second defeat of his career, Angulo has only featured once, a fifth-round stoppage-time win over Carlos Galvan in June 2021.

Although a boisterous New York crowd will cheer loudly for their homegrown produce in Berlanga, Angulo has shown a tendency to upset apple carts. In December 2018, an equalizer from a loss to Ramirez, Angulo cost Reinaldo Gonzalez his first loss of his career. The Colombian-born continued that trend in 2020, becoming the first to beat Anthony Sims Jr., to do so via split decision.
