They will all survive. The only advantage of a1 is probably hs over R3 and Z9 is that they align on the supply chain curve, (January-March 2021) as we’re not really starting to see those effects. until the spring/summer of this year, so by that time, there’s probably a lot of a1’s in circulation. Since the R3 and Z9 were announced at the end of the year, it’s clear that these might be delayed, so for now, we can safely say that the a1 will likely dominate in terms of actual camera counts. are shipped and used to date, but that number is limited by release time and supply chain. Honestly, all three will survive and most likely do just fine. What’s more interesting will be the market for enthusiasts, non-professionals over the next 1-2 years for three companies. Will Nikon regain some market share from Canon and Sony as they have already released some lenses in 2021 and possibly more in 2022 (like the Z8: maybe the Z7/Z9 hybrid).
