We all know the saying “Let the dog sleep” But what about the mouse?
Luckily, we now have the answer thanks to an adorable video.
Posted on YouTube channel Shadow The Rat, the video is just one of many from animal lover Esther, who runs a channel that teaches taking care of small creatures and pets and the cute moments in their lives.
In the clip, Esther shows her rescue rat, Bean, sleeping in a box of tissues.
Nothing seems to be able to wake her up, not even straight pokes and noises! But, the moment the almond delicacy was mentioned nearby, Bean immediately stood up – just enough to eat the snack on her comfy bed. Really, an icon.
So there you have it – let the sleeping dogs lie down, and let the sleeping rats snack. This is just one of the many valuable pieces of advice Esther has gleaned over her years of working with tiny creatures.
“I started training rats when I was in high school at the age of 16, and since then I have discovered a love for them,” Esther writes of her. Location. “I now seek to help others learn to interact with their little pets in a way that is fun and mutually beneficial.”
