Natural light portraits are quite popular, especially for new photographers who are still learning the basics of lighting, camera settings, poses, etc. can be complicated in appearance, leading to some common mistakes. One mistake that I find quite common that can sneak up on you is the lack of color caused by reflected light. For example, if you are shooting on a particularly bright day on a bright lawn, your subject may end up with a green tint from below. Because this color layer decreases in intensity as you move further away from the grass, and since it won’t appear in the background, editing it is more complicated than a simple global tone adjustment.
