I apologize to all readers for the temporary reduction in posting frequency. I am currently in Italy on a family vacation. Several times over the past few years, I’ve gone on vacations with my family—even to underdeveloped places like Russia and Vietnam—without significantly affecting my ability to blog. However, the internet service where I am currently in Italy is very poor and insufficient to support the kind of research needed to do one of my usual posts. So be patient. I will return to my usual work next week.
In the meantime, let me relay some of the information people have sent me. Greg Wrightstone, CEO of the CO2 Coalition, encloses some truly shocking news about the big tech censorship going on in the climate debate. Things may have improved at Twitter over the past few months, but Twitter is just one of a number of tech giants. At others, little has changed. Indeed, things may be continuing to get worse.
If you are not familiar with it, CO2 Alliance is a leading organization of scientists and science-oriented people who are skeptical of the strange pagan cult claims that currently dominate the public debate on the topic of climate. Most of the top climate scientists who really know what they’re talking about are members of the Alliance. (The general exceptions are those who have declined to participate because of well-founded concerns about adverse career consequences if they become affiliated with the group.). Dr. William Happer, a senior atmospheric physicist at Princeton, is the President of the Alliance. The coalition also includes members of various scientific orientations who regularly contribute to the public debate on climate. In that category, I joined by invitation a few years ago.
One of the recent notable additions to the Confederacy is a guy named John Clauser. Clausr happens to be one of the most recent Nobel Prize winners in physics (2022). The work for which Clausr won the Nobel Prize is about a particular problem known as “quantum entanglement”. But he is clearly a brilliant physicist, and physics in general is very relevant to the subject of world climate. Also, like many other de facto leading scientists, Clausr is a “climate skeptic”. Finally, Clausr not only joined the CO2 Alliance, but in May he also became a board member.
ABOVE June 26 in Seoul, Clauser gave a keynote speech at a conference called Quantum Korea. Wrightstone was provided with an English version of the comment and quoted some key lines to create a page on the CO2 Alliance website and even a post on Facebook. Here (from the CO2 Alliance website) are some quotes and paraphrases from Clausr’s presentation, with quotation marks indicating it is a direct quote:
- “The world we live in today is filled with misinformation. Each of you will act as a judge, distinguishing between truth and falsehood based on precise observations of phenomena.
- “Disinformation is being spread by people who are politically motivated and opportunistic.”
- Dr. Clausr, known for his stance [with respect to] climate change, diagnosing the current situation as not a climate crisis and criticizing the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for spreading misinformation.
- He stated, “I do not believe there is a climate crisis” and expressed his belief that “key processes have been exaggerated and misinterpreted by about 200 times.”
According to Wrightstone, here’s what happened next at Facebook:
Our posts and ads promote it [were] removed by Facebook on July 1st.

Next, a day later, an ad promoting the image that adorned our Facebook page and carried our unofficial motto “We Love CO2 and So Should You” was removed and censored. The only text we post is “What’s not to love?”

Wrightstone concludes: These are the difficult times we live in.
I should also mention that Wrightstone and the CO2 Coalition have been permanently banned from LinkedIn. Wrightstone calls it “Linked Out.”
Idiots are actually controlling most of the world right now. We’ll see how long it continues.
