Disinformation Becomes an Art Form, And – A Government Department. What could be wrong? – Is it good?

From BOE REPORT

Terry Etam

I am not a fan of making predictions about any particular trait, because there are often too many variables to influence any outcome. Trying to guess the oil price at YE 2022 leaves me speechless even though I have spent a disastrous amount of time studying the market.

However, given the way 2022 has unfolded, I make the following predictions for more than just odds-on favorites.

Pigs will fly through the sky to deliver packages to Amazon. Kim Jong-un will sing a duet with Britney Spears called “If you have my father, you will understand the hair”. A schnauzer would graduate from Harvard Law School.

Sound crazy? Probably. But what if I kissed the right butt and was put in charge of a misinformation department?

We are rapidly accelerating towards a place where “news” is someone’s choice, somewhere, for a reason. “Truth” is becoming a highly volatile concept, a trend that will accelerate wildly as Trump’s social media platform (named, what else, Truth) grows; it will act as a polarization accelerator reminiscent of his glory days on Twitter.

The mainstream media will not back down from his ominous resurrection; they’ll double, with puzzling “facts” that will make you so amnesiac that you’ll see the schnauzer story as news and won’t even blink.

Misinformation and misinformation is the new battleground, or could be better described as a force field that applies a kind of charge to things everywhere.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen the following. Someone leaked a U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding abortion while the decision was still unfinished. The leak is perhaps politically motivated and must represent one of the most serious attacks imaginable against pillars of the rule of law. With this violation, it can be said that nothing is safe. And yes, I know what that says.

In another example, war was declared to eco-god Elon Musk out of a desire to see more freedom of speech, mainly on the “world’s town square,” Twitter. The New York Times even went back to Musk’s youth to try to tear him up as a product of “white privilege” and Musk’s desire for free speech is a modern expression of racist government propaganda in South Africa.

Musk crosses all boundaries politically and otherwise, and is therefore very dangerous, such as something like a disinformation Board.

Do you think I created that board? Hard. The United States is really set a The “Disinformation Administration” is headed by someone who has recently been in the news, knowing this, spreading misinformation. She spent the last part of the US election year saying that Hunter Biden’s laptop was definitely a Russian disinformation conspiracy, but she’s now fighting those claims as evidence mounts. has just come to light.

In other words, a person guilty of spreading misinformation is currently responsible on a misinformation board (and I’m not throwing poop on the left here; malice is on the other end of the spectrum. certainly also sleazy but being present is not a clear cut eloquent for lazy researchers).

And finally, a more subjective and equally startling anecdotal fact: A few weeks ago, I sat next to an auto dealership manager on a flight. We had a great conversation about cars and the automotive market. He mentioned watching a tram commercial on TV at home.

Watching the commercial with his daughter, he mentioned that it looks like a pretty cool car. his daughter, eight years old, warned him that he would soon not be allowed to burn gas in his car because it was killing the planet, so better go for the EV thing.

So. If you think my predictions above are outlandish, you should probably check first with the uninformed head of the Misinformation Administration, or maybe an eight-year-old. sophisticated. The truth will be what you are told.

What does this have to do with energy? 29dk2902lhttps://boereport.com/29dk2902l.html

Just watch, and you will find out. While the whirlwind of dis/mis-info-crap swirls and upgrades and destroys everything in its path, a few immutable objects will remain. More than seven billion people need to be fed, warmed and housed. That, you can bank. We’ve managed more or less success for most of these people thanks to advances in fertilizers, advances in agriculture, advances in technology and – above all – a reliable energy supply. reliable with reasonable price.

Hydrocarbons represent a major problem for the information industry. The climate change movement, as a pillar of its existence, has reinforced the idea that the burning of fossil fuels is causing the world to overheat. Anything that goes against that story is “Disinformation” with huge fire capital D. As a corollary, any communication intended to undermine or undermine the industry industry in general is not Misinformation.

But the hydrocarbon/fossil fuel shortage is an obvious and irreversible disaster, and everyone knows it. We don’t even have to use them all – shortages cause prices to skyrocket, which is also an obvious disaster for every consumer on earth.

So the information police have a tough challenge regarding hydrocarbons. As the main goal of the Climate Change Sector, any assistance to them is informatization, nor casts any doubt on climate change itself (their definition, not that of me – see loads of ‘disclaimer’ quotes anywhere online).

However, harming hydrocarbon production is clearly a humanitarian disaster. For Disinformation Cops, hydrocarbons are like a steel fence that they need to tear apart but that gives them an almighty electric shock when they touch it.

The NYT and Fox News and the Economist and Breitbart every “news” organization in between can culture war all they like, but at the end of the day the world needs fuel, and the hydrocarbon industry provides it. It will remain so for decades. There aren’t enough minerals to build the renewable system many people dream of, and even if it did, the public pushing back as it was built would delay major progress until the next century.

A bit of evidence to support this claim appeared in last week’s BOE Report. Based on postsThe Canadian government is in discussions with the companies behind two LNG export facilities on the east coast to see what they can do to accelerate their development.

Natural Resources Secretary Jonathan Wilkinson is quoted as confirming the negotiations. Trudeau made it clear that any LNG development is only allowed (think of the ramifications of that statement) because the infrastructure is usable during the energy transition. The same logic can be used to protect any pipeline that will allow humanity to continue operating until real energy alternatives exist, but no one can say that, because because, Disinformation.

This development is proof of the immutability of our current energy system, unmoved by three quarters of a decade of attack by the government Wilkinson helped lead. Most recently, a few months ago, Wilkinson’s government Proposing policy implementation It states that “Sending a clear regulatory signal now will discourage further investment in assets that could be trapped in the years to come due to this inevitable transition.”

In other words, despite giving a very clear signal in early March, the federal government is doing the exact opposite after just two months. That’s what happens when disinformation campaigns run rampant against immobile subjects.

One might hope that some sense of reality is pervading through the madness. Some voices need to be heard, such as the Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz, who recently said: “The world needs to wake up to an existing reality. The world is running out of energy capacity at every level.” Rystad Energy has pointed out that oil and gas discoveries globally are the lowest in 75 years. This coincides with a drop in global investment in hydrocarbons and record demand.

Secretary Wilkinson is making the right call, if for the wrong reasons – Canada (and the world) need to get back to work on developing hydrocarbon infrastructure. Perhaps if they had listened to the industry with one percent of the attention that they listen to the former comrades of Minister Guilbeault, we wouldn’t be in such trouble. Vote well for a few years, Canada; For the time being, find some politicians who have the intellectual courage to stand against this madness.

Come on Ukrainians! Find out how the world fell into such a disastrous energy state, and how to get out – catch the “Fossil Fuel Madness” at Amazon.ca, Indigo.caor Amazon.com. Thanks for the support.
