Pennsylvania Governor John Fetterman, a Democrat running for the US Senate, suffered a stroke but is on track to make a full recovery, the campaign said Sunday.
In a statement, the campaign said Fetterman, 52, did not feel well on Friday and went to the hospital. “The good news is that I feel much better and the doctors told me I did not suffer any cognitive damage,” the statement read.
The news came just days before Tuesday’s primary session. Fetterman is considered the front-runner in the Democratic quadruple field.
