Devin Haney offers to take on Gervonta Davis in December, Slugs It Out against Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza (Online)

They may not be seeing each other in the ring anytime soon, but undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney is dealing online with Gervonta Davis and his team. It all started yesterday when Haney pointed out that Davis, who is often accused of dealing with light bumps, would never be up against anyone who could truly challenge him in the martial arts. radio. The entire online relationship took a turn when Haney exchanged words with Showtime Sports’ Stephen Espinoza, whose network broadcast the fight with Davis. “Stephen,” Haney tweeted, “I have no problem getting the Tank Mickey Mouse belt in December…” For the record, Espinoza previously tweeted that Haney and the others would not be available to confront. with Davis in December, when Davis is expected to return to the ring.
“I am happy to discuss it,” Espinoza replied to Haney, “but I understand that you have signed a promotional agreement which, as you know, means that all discussions must be conducted by your promoter. handle and they have the final say on who you fight. Have them call me. Good luck in your October fight. ” Haney didn’t get it. “We both know I have an advertising partnership deal,” he tweeted back to Espinoza, “my dad has contacted you multiple times with no response… get rid of Stephen…” Espinoza declared his innocence.
“I don’t know anything about your deal,” he said. “Anyone legally authorized to process your transactions can contact me. I don’t negotiate deals on Twitter, and neither should you…unless you’re just doing it for influence.” Again, Haney didn’t have that. “Stop being lame Stephen… I just said that my dad has contacted you many times and you know it’s true! Affected?? GTFOH! It sounds like you want the effects of being a network operator in the fighter and fighter jet business…. ”
It should be noted that boxing has often become more of an internet competition than a staged competition in the ring, which is a sad thing. With that said, it’s also important to note that many fans appreciate, if not truly adore, the vendetta between the boxer and/or the boxer’s team. When two top boxers can’t – or simply can’t, for whatever reason – meet in the ring, fans are sure to get caught up in the Twitter feuds, like it or not. when colorful and even entertaining. Fortunately for the sport, there’s plenty of high-level competition in the ring in 2022 to satisfy fan demand.
