Just a few days ago, Darius Garland announced The Cavaliers are back.
At the time, the Cavs had just gone on a five-game unbeaten run with a win over Magic to climb back to .500 for the season.
Fast-forward to Friday and the team is currently on a four-game winning streak following their 116-101 run with the Wizards. Cleveland beat Orlando 13, Dallas 18, and Miami 26 in this four-game streak.
The Cavs went on a long road trip of three or more games with competitors all having a record of winning for the second time in franchise history. When was the last time it was done? 1975.
Most impressive, however, was Garland’s performance.

The third-year player was arguably his best game ever for the Cavs, finishing with 32 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. In the process, he joined an already unified club, becoming the first Cavalier to go 32-10-8 in a single game since LeBron James in 2018 and only the third Cavalier in history. franchise with that stat line before turning 22.
The other two are James and Kyrie Irving.
“I think the development we’re seeing is that now Darius is playing the game in the game,” head coach JB Bickerstaff said after the game. “I think what you’re seeing is the maturity of a point guard with elite skills and talents.”
Garland is averaging a career-high of 19.1 points and 7.3 assists so far this season.
