Foxes are known to be cunning, sly creatures – but they still get in trouble sometimes!
Luckily for one fox, a kind couple was able to lend him a hand when he got stuck by the side of the road.
The incident happened in Urdoma, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia – a countryside with forests and long winding roads.
It was early November, which meant temperatures dropped below freezing at night.
Unfortunately, a fox in the area got entangled in a piece of cloth, his right foot twisted and stuck making it harder to pull himself out.
Lucky for him, a couple happened to spot him while they were strolling in the area and jumped into action.
First, the man covered the fox with his coat so it could move and get close without fear of it biting. Then the man used a knife to cut through the fabric, until the fox was freed!
It was not an easy task, as the twisted and twisted fabric was difficult to separate from the fox’s fur.
After being freed, the fox quickly got up and ran into the treetops with an excited leap.
Thanks to that couple’s quick thinking, surely that night he was able to sleep safely in his lair.
