This new attraction will be called “Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift” and it will recreate the drifting scenes depicted in the series’ famous racing scenes, so anyone can enjoy the thrill. The ride’s queue will direct thrill-seekers through a large area garage-the red brick style structure will evoke the feel of an urban garage and will feature cars modeled after those in the movie. Universal Studios Hollywood exists in a relatively small area surrounded by houses, so the ride must be enjoyable for riders but also minimize noise pollution. The ride will start in the park’s upper lot and travel down to the lower lot for a series of turns and inversions, including a loop around the Starway escalator. Park officials said their cars will be able to rotate 360 degrees to recreate the drifting scenes seen in the series’ famous racing scenes.

The ride is said to open in 2026 with “groundbreaking 360-degree spins on drifting cars that will send you zooming along a complex track at lightning speeds.” Now, few more details about the new ride have been announced, so it will be a waiting game to see how successfully this coaster can deliver the thrills of the movies.
