Commercial Jeep 4xe Super Bowl Highlights Modern Version of ‘Electric Boogie’



The super bowl is finally upon us, but for many, the big game has nothing to do with who wins or loses. Advertisers spend millions on a 30-second or one-minute spot during the Super Bowl broadcast, and ads can generate buzz that lasts weeks after the game. Jeep car hopes to do so with a minute-long Super Bowl spot highlighting the brand’s electrified all-terrain vehicles.

Jeep “Electric Boogie” ad follows 4xe driver And Grand Cherokee 4xe in a variety of simulated off-road situations. While hilarious, it’s the soundtrack that’s the real star of the show. The song’s original artist, Marcia Griffiths, joined Grammy Award winners Shaggy, Jamila Falak, Amber Lee and Moyann on the track. The modernized recording celebrates 40 years since the original Griffiths. Jeep says the song is now available on streaming platforms.

Although the ad will premiere at the Super Bowl, it’s intended for a global audience. Jeep sells vehicles in more than 100 countries and has purchased the international rights to the new “Electric Boogie” to use when the ad is broadcast worldwide. This year’s game will feature ads from automakers touting their electric street credits. common engine partnering with Will Farrell and Netflix on a smart electric vehicle commercial and Ram has a place at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Even so, many automakers are skipping the big game, as they look to save cash and weather a potential recession.
