Word cloud Final Fantasy VII will appear in the list of riders in Chocobo GP. However, people will not have immediate access to him. Rather, he was someone everyone would have to look for. Square Enix confirmed there will be a Season Pass system and he will be among the rewards in the first season. Also, Squall from FFVIII will appear.
This is the official reveal. It doesn’t actually show Cloud in a car, but it does provide a glimpse of how the racer will appear in Chocobo GP. He is armed with his Buster Sword. Square Enix did not mention whether the Season Pass cost money or not.

There will be a combination of Chocobo characters from the series and Final Fantasy cross racers in Chocobo GP assignment table. For example, both Shirma and Irma will return. Final Fantasy Gilgamesh staples are there too. An update on how to unlock the new race series has been shown FFIXby Steiner and Vivi.
Chocobo GP will arrive on Nintendo Switch worldwide on March 10, 2022, and Cloud will be in the first season. There is also a free Chocobo GP’ games for Android and Apple iOS devices.
