Stacie Clark, operations consultant for the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), has been announced as the keynote speaker for the OwnerView Live Purebred Owners Conference, which will be held at Saratoga Racecourse in Saratoga Springs, New York , on July 25-26, 2022.
Clark has been with TAA since its inception in 2012 and assumed an operations advisor role in 2014. Prior to that, she created her first in-house retirement program while serving as Program manager. Adena Springs Digital Retirement. She has given numerous presentations on behalf of the purebred childcare organization across North America as well as in the UK and Japan.
Before diving into childcare, Clark rode as a jockey in Ontario and was nominated for the 1994 Sovereign Award as Outstanding Apprentice in Canada. When Woodbine Racetrack expanded its television division in 1999, she moved on to work as a production associate and racing television commentator. In 2013, Clark co-produced HRTV’s Eclipse Award-winning and Emmy-nominated documentary “War Horse Saratoga”.
Clark will provide her perspective on the evolution of aftercare from the early 2000s to the present, highlighting the progress the industry has made, and discussing future challenges.

The 2022 convention will be the first in-person Purebred Owners Conference since 2019. The 2020 convention, scheduled to be held in Saratoga, has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OwnerView is a joint effort led by the Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association to promote Thoroughbred Horse ownership and provide accurate information on aspects of ownership such as training. trainers, public racing associations, the process of buying and owning a crossbreed, retirement, and owner licensing.
The need for a central resource to encourage purebred ownership was identified in a comprehensive economic study of the sport commissioned by The Jockey Club and conducted by McKinsey & Company in 2011. OwnerView was launched in May 2012
