Midfielder KJ Jefferson was 15 years old with 19 passes of 262 yards and one touch, and Treylon Burks caught seven from 129 yards. The Razorbacks finished 8-4 (4-4 SECOND) after being assigned an over/under winning total of 5.5 over the summer. Second-year coach Sam Pittman has reactivated his ardent fan base, and his knack for recruiting makes it feel as though the SEC West will be dealing with the Razorbacks for a long time.
– For the first time in 55 days, Texas gets a taste of victory. Freshman coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns beat Kansas State 22-17 thanks to a solid defense in the second half as Texas beat the Wildcats. Roschon Johnson has 179 yards and touches the ball 31 times. Texas still has a shot out of the way with a 5-7 even loss. Either way, this will be the first loss in Austin since Charlie Strong’s three consecutive losing seasons from 2014-16.
