Chrishell Stause is checking the authenticity of the drama between herself and the cast of Nicole Young on the sixth season of “Semi-sunset”. On May 20, the 41-year-old posted a candid photo of herself on Instagram along with a screenshot of the messages she claims she and Young exchanged prior to filming. the latest of the Netflix reality series. The DMs appear to show Young asking for Stause’s advice after she was invited to the show. (POPSUGAR reached out to Young’s rep for comment on the messages but did not receive an immediate response.)
Stause’s screenshot appears to show Young contacted her shortly after she was asked to sign a two-season “Semi-Sunset” contract. “Hey Miss! So….Adam and Skylar randomly called me on Friday to tell me I’m getting a full cast contract for the next two seasons,” message dated May 21. 6 write. “Having to say I’m shocked is the best understatement of the year! Mainly because this news came out so clearly.”
The DM continued, “Anyway wanted to see if I could take you out to lunch or happy hour sometime this week so I could consult you on the myriad of questions that i have about the logistics of the show and also just get your advice on many things in the show /related to the production?You are clearly a pro and have figured out everything related to the show, so I’d really like to learn some of your wisdom before diving into the matter, because I’m not going to lie, I’ll be *terrified!”
For her part, Stause was eager to help Young navigate the filming process. She replied “of course” and went on to invite Young to lunch with the other women on the show. The former “Dancing With the Stars” member captioned her post, “This post is for truth lovers🧐.” Her co-star and friend, Emma Hernan, commented: “WE CHECK THE TRUTH IN THIS B*TCH!!!!!!!!!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻”
In the new season, Stause and Young clash early on due to Young claiming that her coworker received credit for the sale of property she earned years before joining the show. She also alleges that Oppenheim Group boss Jason Oppenheim recognized Stause because he had a crush on her at the time. (Oppenheim has dated both women.) Stause alludes to the conflict on her Instagram Stories from September 2022, long before the season ended on Netflix.
“The longing for filming time in season 6 is REAL,” she wrote at the time. “Wow. That’s crazy. But also VERY transparent. Get your 15-minute girl but don’t mind my business.”
In Second Story, she added, “Screenshots have been archived for the moment. Of course you have a huge problem with me now — not before — when you had a team. filming around me I hate fakes 💩…If you want time to film- JUST SAY THAT I’ll help you get the right angle But don’t try to come for the people I love or my business once you’ve been added and I’m there to get you excited for you.”
For his part, Young addressed his issues with Stause on camera. “You don’t take credit for other people’s work. And yes, that frustrates me,” she said in season six. “She didn’t do any showcases. I did everything. I worked with a buyer’s agent, and I was the one who sold it. Jason and I had a great argument. She’s got a listing in the Valley based on closed sales and my work.”
Stause refuted Young’s claims in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’d be very disappointed, if when you were cast on the show, and you were asking me for advice, and I said, ‘I’m so excited for you…’ you know, all these things and things. and then all of a sudden, you’re talking about three years ago? It’s very upsetting to me,” she said. “Leave my business out. You know, calling me a fake agent, trying to destroy my business, what I worked so hard for? I’m the only girl in the group The office gave her the job and that gave her an introduction. And so it really felt like a betrayal and a clown emoji.”
