Toyota Australia has released information about the next generation, only the hybrid version Camry sedan ahead of its local launch later this year.
Next generation Toyota Camry Due in Australia in October second half of 2024and will be offered in three trim levels: Ascent, Ascent Sport and SL.
The sporty-looking SX model has been dropped and, as previously confirmed, there is no price-leading petrol Ascent model.
Pricing for the 2025 model has not yet been announced.

Foreign models are shown everywhere
All models will use Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, combining a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, electric motor and lithium-ion battery.
It’s likely we’ll continue to only have the front-wheel drive Camry Hybrid here, which has a total system output of 168kW; All-wheel drive will be offered in some markets, with slightly more power at 173kW.
All models will come standard with the following safety equipment:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Automatic emergency braking
- Blind spot monitoring

- Parking assist brakes front and rear
- Rear cross-traffic warning
- Supports safe escape
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Surrounding camera
Features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert have previously been dropped from the base Ascent.
