Chisora Vs Pulev Rematch takes place on 9th of July in London
Dereck Chisora (32-12, 23 KOs) will face Kubrat Pulev on July 9 at The O2 Arena, London.
The two major contenders renewed their feud for the second time in their careers having fought in 2016.
Their first bout in Hamburg for the European heavyweight title was vacated when Chisora had his old friend Tyson Fury cheering him on from the ring.
Pulev (29-2, 14 KOs) emerged victorious with a split decisive win and dashed Chisora’s hopes of challenging Anthony Joshua for the world title at the time.
Poland’s Adam Kownacki was heavily linked to fighting the ‘Del Boy’ but the big Bulgarian instead, double challenger for the biggest prize in boxingreceived the nod instead.
I’m happy to get this fight over the line,” Matchroom Sport President Eddie Hearn.
“Initially, we worked with some other competitors for Derek, but this fight came out a few days ago and I absolutely love it! I think the strap, ‘Total Carnage’, is absolutely perfect for this fight, in terms of construction and in terms of the fight itself.
“Expect the unexpected but expect a thriller at The O2 on July 9. Both men have been longstanding fixture of the world heavyweight class and all or nothing at The O2 for both, for failure can lead to the end of the road. Fans can expect a big card and a dazzling main event for another dazzling event broadcast live on DAZN. ”
Chisora is facing consecutive defeats against Joseph Parker while Pulev got 10 points against Jerry Forrest last time.
