Father’s Day Golf Gift Guide 2022: Bags, coats, watches highlight this golf season’s must-have list
Father’s Day is fast approaching – you can almost always mark it as the US Open happens – and there are plenty of directions you can go if you need a golf-related gift for the dad in your life. . Since the sport of golf is a sport that creates new equipment, teaching aids, and equipment at an almost endless rate, there is always something new to consider.
Heck, there’s even an annual merchandising convention for these exact items.
This list is not intended to be exhaustive but is a compilation of products that our employees have tried or may even have reviewed in the past few months. (You know, in case our important people are reading this, but they’re likely not.)
It’s a range of apparel and gear that change with the seasons, but this year’s list is especially relevant as people are increasingly feeling more comfortable in public and golfing again. Let’s take a look.
LOMA Bag ($120 | Golf Sunday): I’ve been using this for a while and it’s great for use in alternative golfing settings (think short courses, par-3s, and complex put and hit areas). All of these alternative golf settings seem to be on the rise, and Sunday’s arrival perfectly reflects this fact. They’ve recently received some of their bags into Dick’s Sporting Goods, which is as good news for them as it is for us, as it means they’re more likely to produce great bags in a long time. It can carry up to eight clubs, weighs under 2 pounds, and has a duraflex base.
ICON Roland Sands Signature 2253 Chronograph ($280 | Time concept): Part of the Szanto ICON Signature Series, this watch is one of many standout timepieces that go well with sports, casual and formal wear. The Horween leather brand wears like a premium jacket and sports a silhouette inspired by iconic Roland Sands motorcycles. Not only is it extremely comfortable to wear, but it also catches the eye with its stainless steel case and quartz chronograph. It also glows in the dark and is water resistant up to 100 meters. The only problem might be that some of your playing partners are jealous and try to win you over.
Packed Hooded Jacket ($228 | RLX Golf): This Ralph Lauren jacket looks like it’s going to be what the players will wear if there’s a Ryder Cup in 2022. The lightweight stretch fabric is great for keeping out rain in the summer months, but what’s more impressive Plus it packs up in its own pocket so it can be tossed right into your golf bag without taking up any significant space. It’s convenience for a jacket of this quality is simply second to none.
BIOM H4 Golf Shoe ($200 | ECCO): Available in men’s and women’s styles and colors, this shoe offers excellent traction and excellent waterproof protection with GORE-TEX. It’s touted to offer enhanced stability but what really stands out is its lightness and flexibility for a leather golf shoe. Plus, there are several player-specific versions including one by Erik Van Rooyen (pictured).
