Chery Tiggo 8 Pro to launch in Malaysia in Q2 2023 – top 7-seater SUV will be CKD, 2.0L turbo and 7DCT

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro preview in Malaysia will recently be launched here in Q2 2023. The company’s flagship SUV that is set to power other seven-seat SUVs like the Mazda CX-8 and Hyundai Santa Fe to cash in on will be introduced. as a locally assembled model (CKD) from the start.

The model confirmed for Malaysia will be equipped with a 2.0-liter TGDi turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0 liter TGDi factory is the more powerful engine option with the other option being the engine 1.6 liters The TGDi turbocharged engine, like in the Omoda 5, produces 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque.

There is also a PHEV model that is likely to be introduced in Malaysia in 2024. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors and a hybrid transmission to produce 241 hp. force and torque of 510 Nm.

Based on the model previewed here, the Tiggo 8 Pro comes with three digital displays – a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. and digital cabin air-conditioning system display. clearly more luxurious and distinguishable from the Tiggo 7 Pro.

The standard set seen on the preview model includes full LED headlights with Matrix technology, LED daytime running lights and 18-inch wheels while on the inside, the Tiggo 8 Pro gets an 8-speaker Sony audio system, Wireless charging, dual zone air conditioning. and a panoramic roof.
