Cat wears tiny camera on collar so we can see the world through its eyes
Have you ever let your cat outside only to wonder what they were up to? I remember having an outdoor cat when I was growing up. The boy had a habit of always coming home with a smug look on his face.
It often makes me wonder what he did in the eight hours he spent outside wandering the neighborhood.
We know that he sometimes gets into fights with other cats – we hear them often – but those are quite rare cases. Everything else he did was a complete mystery.
Of course, this was also a time before the age of Go-Pro, GPS, and other technological advancements that made it easier for cat owners to see their beloved cats’ daily wanderings outdoors. Now, if some wanted to, it would be a lot easier to find a way to keep track of what their pet cats were doing when they were released.
An animal lover, TikTok user @lovegailun, which gives the world a unique inside look at what life is like for cats outdoors, through a small camera placed on their cat’s neck.
The footage is incredible, as it gives us a POV of what it must be like to be a cat. And I have to say, some of the shots are quite enjoyable if you’re not a fan of heights.
For example, the video below shows the cat climbing a tree and then jumping from the tree onto the roof:

It’s amazing how poised and steady the little cat is in his steps – especially when the branches seem to get narrower and narrower. Then the leap to the roof – wow! Great.
The next TikTok from @lovegailun shows the cat’s POV as the neighbor’s dog shows up:

You can only tell from the cat’s reaction that the dog is not his favorite animal in the world. While the dog appeared friendly and showed no signs of wanting to harm the cat, the young cat decided to hide under a car and ran away.
In the end, the kittens’ big day of fun was cut short when their owners saw them on the street and decided to take them home.
What do you think of these two videos? Ever wondered what your outdoor cat usually does in their spare time? Have you ever tried to track your cat through the camera? Let us know!
