I’ve owned the EF version of this lens for about 10 years now, and it’s probably my most agreeable lens. It simply produces great images with no fuss every time, which makes it one of my favorites for portrait work beyond its intended use. The RF version adds several improvements on top of that, including increased maximum magnification (1.4x), stabilization up to 8 stops when combined with in-body stabilization, Customizable Control Ring and the new Aspherical Aberration Control Ring, all in a dust and moisture-tight body.
