Just as the phoenix rises from the ashes to gain new life, so does Pongo. A terrible fire leaves the puppy orphaned and alone. The little warrior needed medical attention to survive—if only someone could arrive in time.
Thankfully, a heroic couple found Pongo and drove three hours to the vet clinic. The burns on her face made it difficult for her to open her eyes. Walking is also a challenge for Pongo due to malnutrition. The poor girl had to fight hard to recover, but Pongo had a lot of fighting in her!
With dedicated veterinary staff and lots of care, Pongo’s burns began to heal. Now that the puppy has gotten a lot of calories for her, not only is she better at walking, but she’s also playfully running around with the cutest puppy smile. As her health continuously improved, Pongo was able to join other puppies in their designated area. She’s so excited to make new friends!
The next step is for Pongo to go to her permanent home. Pongo is included in a special program that places pets with elders. Her new dad can’t wait to hug her and pamper her! When she met him, she immediately rushed into his loving arms. We are so grateful for this rescue and others who enjoy it thanks to the Dog Care Clinic.
