Hello everyone and welcome to another version of Box Art Brawl!

Because scuffle last weekwe came across the amazing first person shooter game 2 . timer for GameCube. Considered one of the most influential games of its time, it can be said that the boxy for the game is not total inspiration. However, Europe (or the UK in particular) won comfortably, taking in 83% of the vote.

This week we’re going to be spooky with wonderful things Silent Hill: Broken Memories for Wii; it’s Halloween tomorrow, after all! The game launched in 2009 and is generally considered the strongest entry in the series after the first four titles from Team Silent (as long as you don’t count the now defunct PT demo). It made great use of the Wii Remote, allowing players to shine the torch in any direction they saw fit, creating a surprisingly immersive experience.

The box art across all regions for this game is pretty much the same, all told, but we reckon the slight differences between the western and eastern design would make for an interesting brawl. in this week. It’s Europe and North America Vs. Japan again, so let’s start the jailbreak!

Be sure to cast your vote in the poll below; But first, let’s check out the box art designs.

North America / Europe

All the area designs for Shattered Memories have the same basic image: a scary girl sitting on a swing. However, for the Western approach, the drawings and swings are both decorated with icicles, indicating the seasonal weather we may encounter in the game. There are some hints of some buildings in the background, along with a rather ghastly rotting overall look. The box itself is the standard white design for Wii games.

Japan

For the Japanese design, we have the same girl on the swing, but without the icicles found in Western design. Instead, we’ve got a more “clear” sign of snowy weather with snowflakes falling along with ice cubes forming in the trees in the upper left. Overall, it’s a darker image, and this is further accentuated by the black Wii box, making this an extremely effective design.

Thanks for voting! We’ll see you next time in another round of Box Art Brawl.
