As of May 9, 2023, VTuber Suou Patra is no longer a member of 774 Inc. She is currently an independent content creator and will continue to use her current identity. Patra merchandise is still available on the 774 Inc website. for those who want to buy something. However, the company will stop selling it after the current stock runs out.
The Notification on the official 774 Inc Twitter account. apologized for the sudden announcement and thanked the fans for their long-term support of Patra. It also asks fans not to disturb other VTubers associated with 774 Inc. or ask them any questions about Patra’s situation.
Patra herself made a declare to us on her channel regarding her departure from the company. Although she will be an independent VTuber, she will be allowed to keep her avatar and channel. She will also continue to produce game content and ASMR. According to her announcement, she started thinking about leaving 774 Inc. after the company disbanded Honey Strap. Honey Strap is the unit to which Patra and five other VTubers belong. But on March 21, 2023, 774 Inc. merged it with Nanashi Inc.
We have seen an upheaval in the VTuber industry starting at the end of March 2023. Many VTubers have retired or graduated abruptly, with some companies experiencing a mass exodus. All members of third generation VTubers from Production Kawaii, as well as three streamers from Vshojo, all have left their companies.
