BMW X5 2027: Secret revealed from the dealer


The BMW X5 According to an overseas dealer who has seen it, there will be a more “badass” look in the next generation.

Automotive news reports BMW introduced dealers across the Americas to a series of next-generation products at a conference in Las Vegas, with one of them being the next X5.

One dealer called the X5’s appearance “mean” and said its headlights were “probably the coolest I’ve ever seen.”

The next X5 is expected to feature new X-shaped headlights with integrated daytime running lights.

BMW executives are also said to have told dealers that the brand has no intention of stopping production of V8 engines and intends to continue to meet demand, which suggests we can still see the X5 with 8-speed capacity.

The company is about to unveil a new generation of Sedans and M5 carsfor example, will use a twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The new X5 is still a few years away. BimmerArticles Forum user ynguldyn, who claims to have compiled leaks from inside BMW, said the car won’t go into production until August 2026.

According to reports, it will come with an electric version called iX5, while the gasoline version will include 50 xDrive, M70 xDrive and M versions.

It’s unclear whether the iX5 will use the same architecture as the internal combustion engine model, like current electric BMWs like BMW. iX1 And iX3 can do or whether it will be among the vehicles using the Neue Klasse dedicated electric vehicle architecture.

The current electric iX3 model will be replaced by the Neue Klasse model.

The current fourth-generation X5, which first entered production in 2018, only recently received a mid-life update. It arrives in Australia in late 2023.

It is currently offered in Australia with a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel inline six-cylinder engines, with the X5 M60i and X5 M featuring a twin-turbo V8.

While BMW has yet to build an electric version of the X5, it has developed a hydrogen fuel cell version.

The X5 is an important vehicle for BMW. Although it is not the brand’s best-selling model in Australia, it still leads the large luxury SUV segment.

With sales of 635 units so far this year, it has sold better Land Rover defender (sales 575) and Mercedes-Benz GLE (Sales of 395 units, not including 100 GLE Coupe units).

It has a spin-off version of the SUV coupe, X6is said to be replaced by 2028 and also has an electric option.
