Best on show at The Amelia Concours d’Elegance was a 1934 Duesenberg

The winners of Best in Show for Amelia Concours d’Elegance 2022 have just been announced and we were there to watch the couple come out and claim their awards.

Amelia, like some other concurrent events, awarded two “best of the show” awards. The main award (and highest rating) goes to Best in Show overall, and this year is 1934 Duesenberg J-531 Can be converted Car coupe.

Meanwhile, the second award went to Best in Show for “Sport”. In other words, it is the Best in Show among many sports car racing items in the program. This award will be given for 2017 Cadillac The DPi-VR car you see at the top of this post with Duesenberg. The Konica Minolta won the 24 Hours of Daytona under Wayne Taylor Racing’s management and marks Cadillac’s rather successful return to prototype racing.

2022 Amelia Concours d

The Duesenberg won was part of the all-Duesenberg class, and the Cadillac was part of the Daytona 24 Hour Class 60th Anniversary Celebration. This is the latest race car on display, so it’s victory over many other older race cars is a bit of a surprise for a simultaneous event.

We’ll soon have tons of photos from the rest of the field at The Amelia, so stay tuned for a huge library coming your way.
